“October 10 is accepted as “World Mental Health Day” by the World Mental Health Federation and events are organized with a different theme every year.” said Asst. Assoc. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), depression is one of the most important factors that causes diseases and limits physical abilities in children and young people aged 10-19. Unlike adults, depression can cause high rates of guilt and suicide attempts in adolescents. In addition, many other problems may arise in depression that occurs during youth, when it is not diagnosed and treated. "This situation reduces patients' school success, reduces their ability to establish social relationships, increases the frequency of substance use and, most importantly, the risk of suicide."
